'UNTOLD STORIES: Gorski Kotar'
Croatia, 2009.
Summary:
This film is dedicated to everyone who has done good deeds and helped save lives during the wars led at the territory of former Yugoslavia. At the beginning of the war in Croatia, in Gorski Kotar region, thank to the courageous individuals from the local communities, the war was avoided as the "Active Peace" was established. One of the first actions that resulted from this agreement was the exchange of children between Croatian and Serbian villages. In that way, in the midst of war, a cooperation was initiated, resulting with a still existing project named the "Peace School".
This is already the seventh year in a row that, through this Festival, we build a monument of tolerance, educate about the necessity of understanding the different, speak about love and strive for a better tomorrow. I am convinced that our audience will recognize the high quality of all our programs and help us in promoting tolerance.
