Summary:
Feature film "When Day Breaks" is a story of 72-year-old music professor Misha Brankov, who finds out about his real origins under extraordinary circumstances. During some excavations at the premises of former Judenlager Semlin, a concentration camp in Belgrade, an iron box with documents was found, which had previously been buried by Isaac Weiss in 1941. Professor finds out that his real parents were called Weiss, and that they had left him to the Brankov family before they were taken to the camp. The box also contains an unfinished music score titled "When day breaks", which was composed by Isaac Weiss. While searching for the truth about himself, professor also traces for the little-known truth about the concentration camp. At the same time, he becomes obsessed with finishing previously commenced composition and performing a masterful grace for the dead at the place of the former camp.
