Branko Lustig awarded for Lifetime Achievement in Vienna
Branko Lusti received the award for his Lifetime Achievement at the LET'S CEE film festival in Vienna. Around 50 films from Central and Eastern Europe were presented at the Festival, which was for the second time held in the Austrian capital city.
With two feature films, the Festival of Tolerance was also present in Vienna. The films were 'When Day Breaks', directed by Goran Paskaljević, and Darko Mitrevski's 'The Third Half'.
One of the special events of the Festival was the screening of 'Schindler's List', marking its 20th anniversary. As a producer, 20 years ago, Branko Lustig was awarded by the American Academy Awards for this film.
This is already the seventh year in a row that, through this Festival, we build a monument of tolerance, educate about the necessity of understanding the different, speak about love and strive for a better tomorrow. I am convinced that our audience will recognize the high quality of all our programs and help us in promoting tolerance.
