The third Educational morning was held yesterday in Knin, at the Dom Hrvatske vojske Kralj Zvonimir, thus finishing the first half of the Educational tour throughout the Croatia. Cinema hall, in which the screening of the film ´Wunderkinder´ was held, was attended by more than 400 children. Mr. Nenad Damjanović, the Principal of the City Office for Social Activities and Social Welfare, welcomed the pupils and organizers. After the screening of the film, Branko Lustig addressed the children with the message of love and mutual tolerance.
Previous two Educational mornings were held in Šibenik, on October 7th, at the Hrvatsko Narodno Kazalište, in front of approximately 300 pupils, and in Zadar, on October 9th, at the Kazalište lutaka, in front of 240 pupils.
All the Educational mornings were ogranized in colaboration with the local authorities, and they were characterized by an excellent turnout of the pupils and remarkable comments on the program.
Educational mornings will continue in November, during which we will visit the cities of Novi Marof, Čakovec and Osijek.
Festival of Tolerance would like to thank all the teachers, pupils and schools which helped us in spreading the message of tolerance. Impressions of those present at the education tell us that these kinds of programs are necessary and something which should be organized more often. With this in mind, we will continue to visit schools and cities as much as possible.
