Beginning of the 4th Educational mornings tour
Traditionally, although this time in somewhat later term than usual, our Association uses the beginning of the school year to organize the Educational mornings tour. Within the last three editions of the Tour, we organized nine programs in seven different cities.
This year's Tour will be the most extended so far, as it will include six cities. The Tour will be divided into two parts. In October, the program will be held in Šibenik (on October 7th, at the Hrvatsko narodno kazalište, at 11.00 AM), in Zadar (on October 9th, at the Kazalište lutaka, at 9.00 AM), and in Knin (on October 10th, at the Dom Hrvatske vojske, at 11.30 AM). In November we will visit Novi Marof (on November 13th, at the Kulturni centar Ivan Rabuzin), Čakovec (on November 14th, at the Centar za kulturu Čakovec, at 10.00 AM) and Osijek (on November 15th, the venue and time of the program will be announced in the near future). At these programs we anticipate the participation of altogether 2 000 students from the seventh and eighth grades of elementary schools and the first grades of high schools. Educational mornings will consist of the screening of the award-winning German feature film "Wunderkinder", Branko Lustig's lecture about his experiences from the notorious Nazi concentration camps, conveying the message of the importance and necessity of tolerance and respecting differences, as well as the discussion with the pupils.
Every Educational morning will be held in cooperation with the local authorities. We are very pleased that the City of Zadar, the City of Šibenik, the City of Knin, the Varaždin County, the Međimurje County and the City of Osijek recognized both quality and importance of our program in providing the outer-institutional education of youth and provided the financial and logistic support in the realization of the project. We also thank IHRA, Goethe Institute and Sixt rent a car, which are as well our respectable project partners.
