Educational morning at the Meeting Point cinema
After 24 programs held in 10 different cities, for the first time, the Educational morning took place outside the Republic of Croatia. It was realised at the Meeting Point cinema, on Thursday, October 24th, at 11 AM, for the pupils of the final grades of elementary schools, and in collaboration with La Benevolencija, Network for Peace Building, Goethe-Institut and IHRA.
Program consisted of the screening of the German feature film "Wunderkinder", Branko Lustig's lecture on his experiences from notorious concentration camps, with the special emphasis on the importance of tolerance and acceptance of diversities, as well as the discussion with the pupils. Branko Lustig, inspired by the brilliant reaction of more than 270 pupils, held one of his most touching lectures, drawing the parallels between his experience from the Holocaust and the shocking events that took place in Srebrenica.
Before the Educational morning, a press conference was held, during which, along with Branko Lustig, Jakob Finci, the President of La Benevolencija, and Nataša Popović, the Director of the Festival of Tolerance, addressed the journalists.
